Eloqua updates its platform quarterly. The 20B update rolling on the 15th and 22nd of May feature a couple of major updates and several smaller enhancements. For everyday use, there are two major updates that make working with landing pages and emails A LOT easier: content blocks and video embedding for landing pages.
Content blocks are rather simple. They allow you to create a library of pre-styled content blocks that you can reuse. Normally when you create an email you would use a template containing all layout modules available and then proceed by deleting modules you don't need and copy the ones you need more than once. If you would happen to delete a module and get second thoughts, you would need to rebuild it from scratch.
The new blocks allow you to start from a template and drop the pre-created modules you need from the Block library to the email. If you delete a block and want it back, just find it from the library and add it again. It is recommended to manage the blocks centrally to avoid the block library to be cluttered.
We at ID BBN recommend, that you manage your blocks centrally on corporate level just like you would manage email templates to avoid clutter and maintain visual coherence. Your existing email and landing page templates can be updated to use the new blocks. Ask more from your ID BBN contact.

The new update will also allow you to add YouTube and Vimeo videos to landing pages without having to touch HTML. Just choose a block, drag it to the editor, set up the link and you are done.
There are also lots of smaller updates to the administrative and technical side, like an ability to archive forms. More about the updates from Oracle Release Center.
